Best Candle Advent Calendars (2026): Scents, Sizes and Whether It's Worth It

5 min read

A candle advent calendar is a scent sampler: one small candle behind each door. The two things that decide whether it is worth it are how big the candles are and who made them. Most listings here do not state the candle size, so we cannot tell you how long each will burn.

We compared 6 2026 calendars from $16.14 to $59.99 using each Amazon listing, plus the price, seller and stock status Amazon showed when we last checked (timestamp above). We have not burned any of them, so we say nothing about scent strength.

Safety: never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep candles away from children and pets.

Is it good value? The cost-per-door check

None of the listings in this guide state a retail value, so we do not show one. Use cost per door and the full-size column to compare. Not stated in the listing

Cost per door only means something if the candles are the same size, and most listings do not say. Yankee Candle states 1.3 oz, and tealights are smaller. No listing states a retail value, so we do not show one.

Our honest read: the soy wax 24-candle calendars are the cheapest way to try many scents, but we cannot tell you their size or burn time. Yankee Candle is the only known brand, and at its price per door it is the poorest value unless you specifically want those scents.

Sorted by cost per door, lowest first. Cost per door is a rough guide: a door holding a full-size product is not the same as a door holding a sample.

How to choose a candle advent calendar

Ask how big the candles are

Only Yankee Candle (1.3 oz) states a size. For the others, assume small. A tealight burns for a short time.

Look at the scents

Lihome, ESPRAY and TUZELIYA name some scents. Calendars that name none leave you guessing.

Brand or budget?

Yankee Candle is the known brand at a high price per door. The others are small brands at around a dollar a door.

Burn them safely

Candles from lesser-known brands can vary. Never leave a candle burning unattended.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best candle advent calendar?

Lihome's is our top pick: 24 soy wax candles with named scents at a low price. Yankee Candle is the only well-known brand, but it has 12 doors and a high cost per door.

How big are the candles in an advent calendar?

Only Yankee Candle states a size here (1.3 oz jars). The other listings do not.

Are candle advent calendars worth it?

They suit people who like trying scents. Because most listings give no candle size, we cannot judge value precisely.

Are soy wax candles safer?

We cannot say. The listings describe soy wax, but we have not tested the candles. Burn any candle with care.
