Advent calendar finder

What advent calendar should I buy? Answer 3 questions, get in-stock picks.

There are hundreds of 2026 advent calendars and they are not equal: some hold full-size products, some hold stickers, and some sell out in days. This finder narrows it down to the few worth a look, using the same research behind our guides: what is inside, what each door costs, who is selling it and whether it is in stock.

Tell it who you are buying for, your budget and what they like. It returns up to three calendars that Amazon listed as in stock when we last checked. We have not unboxed or tested any of them, and we say so.

Find your calendar

Step 1 of 3

Who are you buying for?

How the finder chooses

  1. Only buyable calendars. A calendar must be in stock or low stock on Amazon at our last check. Sold-out and not-yet-shipping calendars are left out, so you never click through to a dead listing.
  2. Matched to the person and the interest. Each calendar comes from one of our guides, which already say who it suits (for example, our guide for mom or our LEGO guide).
  3. Ranked on evidence, not commission. Within a match we favour calendars sold by Amazon or the brand, then the guide's own ranking, then lower cost per door.
  4. Honest about limits. If few calendars fit your budget exactly, the finder widens it slightly and tells you. Prices change, so confirm on the product page.

How much should you spend on an advent calendar?

Across the 101 in-stock calendars we track, the middle half cost between $1.12 and $2.50 per door, with a median of $1.75. For a 24-door calendar that is a typical total of around $41.99. Beauty and luxury calendars sit at the top of the range; most toy, tea and snack calendars sit at the bottom.

Spend more when most doors hold full-size products or lasting keepsakes, and less when the doors hold samples. A cheap calendar of stickers is not a bargain, and an expensive calendar of minis is rarely good value. Our under $50 guide and our luxury guide cover both ends.

Five checks before you buy any advent calendar

  1. Stock. Calendars are rarely restocked once sold out.
  2. Seller. Amazon-sold and brand-sold listings are the safest; third-party sellers can change the price.
  3. Doors. 24 is common, but 12-door and 25-door calendars exist.
  4. Contents. Count full-size products, not doors.
  5. Age and allergens. Check the age line on toys and the allergen list on food and skincare.

Frequently asked questions

What advent calendar should I buy?

Start with who it is for, then your budget, then what they like. Our finder above turns those three answers into in-stock picks. If you want a single starting point, our complete guide gives one top pick in every category we cover.

How much should I spend on an advent calendar?

Across the 101 in-stock calendars we track, the middle half cost between $1.12 and $2.50 per door, with a median of $1.75. A 24-door calendar at that median is about $41.99. Cost per door is only a guide: a door holding a full-size product is worth more than a door holding a sample.

What is the best advent calendar for a girlfriend or boyfriend?

For a girlfriend, makeup, skincare, nail and candle calendars are the usual choices; for a boyfriend, fandom, coffee, puzzle and grooming calendars. See our girlfriend and boyfriend guides, which only include calendars that were in stock on Amazon when we checked.

What is the best advent calendar for kids?

It depends on age and interests. LEGO calendars are real bricks, Funko and Disney calendars are collectible figures, and Bluey, Hot Wheels and Barbie calendars suit younger fans. Check the age line on each listing, because small parts matter.

When should I buy an advent calendar?

As early as you can. Calendars are produced for one season and popular ones sell out and are rarely restocked. Most have 24 doors, but 12-door and 25-door calendars exist, so check the number of doors against the start date you want.

Are advent calendars worth the money?

Some are and some are not. They are best value when most doors hold full-size products you will use, and worst value when most doors hold minis, stickers or samples. Our guides show the full-size split and cost per door, and say plainly when a calendar is poor value.

Does the finder show calendars that are sold out?

No. It only recommends calendars that Amazon listed as in stock or low stock when we last checked. Stock changes during the day, so each result shows the status and the product page has the final say.
