Best Snack Advent Calendars (2026): Shortbread, Jam, Popcorn and Savory Options

5 min read

If chocolate is not the answer, snack advent calendars are: shortbread, jam, popcorn, nuts and candy. Prices run from $19.87 to $59.99 in this guide, and what you get per door varies hugely.

We compared 6 2026 calendars using each Amazon listing, plus the price, seller and stock status Amazon showed when we last checked (timestamp above). We have not tasted any of them.

Allergens matter more here than in most categories: several of these contain nuts, milk or wheat. The listings do not always give a full allergen list, so read it on the product page.

Is it good value? The cost-per-door check

None of the listings in this guide state a retail value, so we do not show one. Use cost per door and the full-size column to compare. Not stated in the listing

A door of shortbread and a door of a jam jar are priced very differently. Where weights are listed (Walker's 10.4 oz, Simple Orchards 24 oz, Sour Patch 48 pieces) you can judge more precisely. None of the listings states a retail value, so we do not show one.

Our honest read: Walker's and Sour Patch Kids are the lowest-cost routes, Bonne Maman is the best gift, and Sugar Plum is the one to check carefully because its listing gives so little detail.

Sorted by cost per door, lowest first. Cost per door is a rough guide: a door holding a full-size product is not the same as a door holding a sample.
